If you have spent any amount of time researching online how to reduce the symptoms of Acid Reflux, you probably have read about Apple Cider Vinegar. The most common reaction to the treatment is amazement and the usual question to follow, how can vinegar reduce Acid?
Apple Cider Vinegar had helped me for almost a year reduce and manage my Acid Reflux Symptoms. Three times a day I mix 1-2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar into a drink. Sometimes I use an all natural sugar free fruit drink or just water. This may sound awful, but there are easier ways to handle drinking it. If you drink a lot of water throughout the day, you can get away with maybe half a teaspoon in each glass. Such a small amount will not cause an unbearable taste.
So why does Apple Cider Vinegar help acid reflux?
There are two main reasons it may help so much. One is that Apple Cider Vinegar actually acts like an alkaline to the other acid in your stomach, which helps balance the PH of the stomach. Additionally Apple Cider Vinegar helps reduce bad bacteria which may be causing or contributing to your heartburn issues. So in reality Apple Cider Vinegar can actually reduce both types of acid reflux.
As a disclaimer I will say I am not a doctor and you should always speak to a physician before trying anything new like ACV treatments. However in my case I got the 100% approval of my doctor and at my last visit he was impressed I have been 8 months completely acid reflux free!
